Calgary, November 4, 2025: Operation Eyesight Universal has been named a Top 10 Impact Charity for the eighth year in a row and a Top 10 International Impact Charity for the fifth year in a row by Charity Intelligence.

Globally, 1.1 billion people in the world live with vision loss. By 2050, it will be close to 1.8 billion. Fortunately, 90 per cent of all vision loss is preventable or treatable. That’s where Operation Eyesight comes in.

We believe that clear vision and healthy eyes are a right for all, regardless of where people live, their gender, age or ability to pay. Vision is about far more than sight – it is about reducing poverty, improving good health and wellbeing, supporting access to quality education, contributing to gender equality, ensuring clean water and sanitation, addressing climate action and building partnerships for the goals. These are all United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that will help to build a more peaceful and prosperous world for all.

That’s why Operation Eyesight has teams are on the ground partnering with communities, ministries of health and education, and like-minded organizations to build sustainable eye health care systems that provide eye health care now and in the future – For All The World To See.
