SDG 13 – Climate Action
Climate change is more than an environmental issue. It’s also putting people’s health at risk, especially in places where resources are already limited. As the climate shifts, rising temperatures, changing weather patterns, and increased air pollution all threaten access to clean water, food security, and essential health services.
At Operation Eyesight, we believe that healthy communities and a healthy planet go hand in hand. As we work to eliminate avoidable vision loss, we are also focused on building programs that support environmental resilience and long-term sustainability.
While climate change affects everyone, its impacts are far from equal. Communities that already face health and social challenges are often hit the hardest. That’s why we make sure our approach to climate action also helps close those health equity gaps.
