Director, Human Resources
Wilson Wong has over a decade of HR experience, working with global teams, not-for-profits, healthcare and publicly traded companies, and working as an instructor for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology’s (SAIT’s) School of Business. He brings a dual major in HR and general management, holds Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designations and is a Predictive Index Practitioner (understanding differences in personalities and how to build high performing teams). Wilson has supported numerous organizations as an HR leader, creating an HR strategy that supports mission-driven organizations to achieve greater impact, selecting the right people, aligning teams and creating a culture where employees feel heard and supported.
Wilson is energized by community, curiosity and impact. Whether he’s on the basketball court strategizing the next play or traveling the world (Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Italy, etc.) to experience new cultures, he brings a sense of purpose and possibility to everything he does. That’s exactly why he’s passionate about his work with Operation Eyesight. He believes deeply in Operation Eyesight’s mission and is inspired by the opportunity to contribute to an organization that is truly changing lives around the world. For Wilson, being part of a team that restores sight – and transforms futures – aligns perfectly with his values of service, connection and making a meaningful difference.
