Major Gifts Officer
Jennifer Lorimer has more than 14 years of leadership and fundraising experience in the charitable sector. Having worked with national and community-based organizations including United Way East Ontario, the Ottawa Humane Society and SOS Children’s Villages Canada, Jennifer brings her relationship-building and strategic fundraising skills to her role. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Ottawa Chapter.
Jennifer has extensive experience in major gifts, planned giving and strategic planning and has collaborated closely with senior leadership, board members and volunteers to align donor interests with organizational priorities. She has managed donor portfolios, built sustainable relationships, and developed strategies that strengthen donor engagement and long-term impact.
Based in Ottawa, Ontario, Jennifer values community involvement and lifelong learning, has a background in registered nursing, and holds several certificates including Mental Health First Aid and CPR. She has served on several boards and committees, including as Vice President of the Ottawa Women’s Canadian Club and as a current board member of Operation Come Home Foundation.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys staying active, spending time at the cottage with family and friends, and remaining engaged in causes that strengthen communities.
