Ivan Zenar is a seasoned international development and humanitarian professional with 25 years of leadership experience designing and managing programs across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Canada. His work has spanned emergency response, long-term development, food security and livelihoods, public health, gender equity and mental health, often in complex, high-risk environments.
Throughout his career, Ivan has led large and diverse teams, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, developed institutional partnerships, and worked closely with governments, donors and communities to deliver impactful programming. He brings deep expertise in strategy, financial oversight, results-based management and program design, as well as a strong commitment to accountability and community-led solutions.
Ivan has extensive experience working with boards and governance structures, contributing to strategic planning, program oversight and organizational growth. He is passionate about advancing inclusive, sustainable development and is honoured to support Operation Eyesight’s mission to prevent blindness and restore sight through innovative, locally driven solutions.
