Canada: Children in Maskwacîs Receive Eye Exams and Glasses Through Collaboration with OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, LensCrafters & Operation Eyesight Universal

In April 28-May2, Operation Eyesight worked with the Maskwacîs Education Schools Commission to facilitate a vision clinic with LensCrafters, and the North America affiliate of the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation. The clinic helped addressed vision problems for between 500 and 600 students. Most students in need of prescription eyeglasses received them onsite.

Kenya: Operation Eyesight partnered Sightsavers and the ministries of health in Kenya and Tanzania to distribute antibiotics to more than 1.3 million people with trachoma or at risk of developing the infection, providing much-needed treatment to communities along the Kenya-Tanzania border. The project received coverage from several news outlets across Kenya, including K24 TV, The Star, Look Up TV, China Daily and People Daily.
